28 Nov Something To Chew On…
I am a firm believer that your body knows how to be healthy. I am also a firm believer that what we put inside our bodies determines our level of cellular health, health in general, how we age, and how we look and feel. There are a lot of people walking around feeling like crap: tired, listless, foggy brained, back and knee pain, overweight, super unhealthy issues. Too many in fact.
What amazes me is that most ill-health issues are brought on by not knowing one simple fact: The human body was never intended to be able to adjust and adapt to fake, chemically laced, processed food like substances. So why do we do it?
We are truly lacking the knowledge of how the incredible body works. Learning, implementing the skills sets and tools consistently over time is what it takes. I love to teach clients why what they’ve been doing has not worked and then give them the road map for the right journey they desire!
Food is where we start and – finish. Real food – rots. Real food has flavor!
Everyone has read at least one weight loss story where the now healthy person has completely changed the way they used to eat. They look amazing and fit and love their new way of eating. They have strong energy, sleep better and stop looking bloated old and haggard. What’s not to love right?
Your body will acclimate to everything you give it and do to it. Let that sink in.
Time and again I have shared the fact that once I quit regularly eating pasta, potatoes, rice and rolls with every single meal, along with many other horrifying habits, my body suddenly stopped wanting it, it started to heal…and I lost 40 pounds.
Just the other day another client and friend told me that he just doesn’t even think about “not having it” anymore (it being the unhealthy stuff like fries) – he simply doesn’t order it, buy it, or eat it. He’s lost 30 pounds in a relatively short time.
I assure you, your body will acclimate to everything you do to it in one way or another. You just have to give yourself and your body time to acclimate. People want everything immediately. That’s not how lasting success happens and we all know it. But we stomp our feet and scream “but I want it nowwwwww!” Do good to your body consistently and it will acclimate and treat you right. Do bad stuff to your body regularly, it’ll acclimate to that and eventually give you a rather hard time. Are you going to live forever if you eat right? Nope.
You will however live well and age beautifully along with all that great energy and mental strength to rock the body you’re in!
It’s less expensive to be healthy. It’s much less expensive to eat healthfully! And guess what else? You don’t have to complain anymore about how crappy you feel and look. Ahhhh, let the positivity commence!
If you DO want to age well, feel fabulous, lose weight, look awesome, and BE healthy, another thing you can start incorporating is to drink more water. Plain old water. Hydrate your internal system for heaven’s sake. ALL your organs need to be thoroughly hydrated daily.
Water is one of two things you absolutely, positively will not survive without. Oxygen is the other. Don’t like water? Tough. Suck it up sweetie, literally! Especially if you want to look better and yes, even lose weight. Don’t think full oxygen levels are important? Hmmm, good luck! I’ve got nothing with that one.
The second is eat better food. Nutrient dense, real foods. I’ve heard story after story about how real food, and good nutrition in general has literally wiped out some of my clients’ health issues. (obesity, acid reflux, poor sleep, cholesterol, high blood pressure, leaky gut/IBS to name just a few. I’m one of those people). I show my clients portions, what prep looks like and they even might get a taste! It’s where the true magic results happen!
It seems logical that if people have made an illness/disease “go away” to never reappear again by changing what they were putting in their body, isn’t it worth a shot to stop debating and start listening, learning and implementing?
I am all for being proactive and preventative rather than reactive and chasing ill-health issues. Been there, done with that forever!
Being in a reactive, fight or flight state causes a great deal of stress internally and externally in your life and over time is downright unhealthy as it breaks down your cells health.
Yes, you’ve heard it all before. But perhaps it’s time for action. Change is tough. But it doesn’t have to be if you look at it from a learning, healing, strong desiring state. If you want something bad enough, you’ll do what it takes. Letting get into a dumpster fire state is not a great way to go!
So if you’re searching for an expert to help you understand true nutrition, how your body works and the importance of learning how to strength train correctly, safely and effectively, along with aging phenomenally – then it’s your lucky day!
Remember, we start with nutrition and food and we also finish there! Then proper strength training, cardio and flexibility then a long list of other things you will learn, implement and gain eye popping results from!
It’s time to get, be and live healthy!
Cindy
