While genes may be passed down from your parents and grandparents, so is how you were taught to eat. However, things have drastically changed.
It is now super confusing, overwhelming and downright tricky for most when it comes to healthy choices. My clients and I say: convenience has destroyed us. Yep.
Your household and the daily choices in the preparation of and consumption of food and drink has as a major impact on your longevity and how you age. You don’t have to be a ‘chef.’ Some simple, logical basics will get the job done.
Genetics only ‘loads the gun.’ Lifestyle however ‘pulls the trigger.’
Most if not close to all symptoms of disease and illness CREEPS UP over the years as we age when 95% of your foods and drinks are inflammatory to the human body.
It is a fact that when you change your eating and drinking habits and exercise correctly for the age you are, shape you’re in, that inflammatory lifestyle symptoms get reversed and go away.
These days I’d say 35 seems pretty mid-aged as that age bracket is building symptoms of disease that used to only happen to a few and much, much older.
The amount of people in their 60’s I see who walk ‘leaning forward’ and walking on their toes is sad to see. This is due from lack of muscles that hold up the skeletal frame. (that would everything on your backside).
Learning how to lift weights and properly use equipment for the state of health and shape you are in (key phrase right there!) is a major de-aging mechanism. No, I don’t think starting at a ‘boot camp’ is benefiting you, and my clients who come to me from them will say the same to you. (I get a lot of them over the decades).
Those making healthier choices have less chronic disease risk, diabetes, risk of heart attack, stroke, auto-immune ‘disease’ and reduce cancer risk.
Don’t wait until ‘it’ hits the fan though!
No matter your age, it’s always a good time to start making healthier lifestyle choices. Due to the level of b.s., confusion and overwhelm of not knowing where to begin or what and how to eat – it’s truly imperative at this stage to hire a professional with the expertise and experience of age and time spent helping clients reverse autoimmune and ‘aging’ disease.

The potential for preventing chronic diseases with lifestyle is enormous. Your human body already knows how to self-heal and regrow. It’s us who need help remembering or learning how to treat it so it trusts us and can work properly again.

The inflammatory lifestyle that I see people consuming 95% of their day, every day over and over again is incredible. I get it. I used to be there. No thought whatsoever about the long term affects on my body – until suddenly all I dealt with my “poor health choices fires.”
I was just thinking and giggling a little how easy it is to forget that ANY THING we begin to learn – let’s say a new job/position – we sort of feel incompetent at first. We have to learn the steps, systems in place that make the ‘corporation’ work! However…. as you consistently ‘go to work’ and implement the new things learned – VOILA’! You gain confidence, knowledge and are successful.

Spending your time and depleting your pocketbook and energy and living in the angst and fear of ‘symptoms’ and ‘diseases’ that pop up as you age is a really crappy what to live. Been there done that. If you’re going to put your energy and moola into anything – it should be your Health, Vibrancy, Well-being, and age well. THAT is money well spent and where I put mine, as do my clients!
